COVID-19 Day 14

Good afternoon friends,  I hope you are doing well.  Stay healthy, keep washing your hands, and keep ordering take out beer from your local brewery!!!🍻  We didn't eat take out yesterday (#TakeOutTuesday), but I did order my take home growler from our favorite brewery,  Swan Brewing ...I haven't named a lot of things by actually name on here, but my wife and I have enjoyed Swan quite a bit and I don't mind giving them the props that they deserve.  No matter if it is a brewery or your local littlerestaurantt, keep ordering take out when your wallet allows it so we can keep these great, local, little establishments going.      Now to the post I had written on Monday before receiving the great news that turned my Monday around and gave me some much needed smiles...      I knew that I liked sports, but boy, I guess I didn't realize just how much I really watched sports.  Some people will put on different shows so they have some noise on in the background while they

Big Red

So, Covid-19 Day 12...I hope this finds you and your loved ones doing well.  Just found out that one of my good buddies has tested positive for Covid-19.  He had the typical symptoms, fever, sore throat and dry cough, but other then that nothing too serious so let's pray that is all.  He and his family are now in quarantine for the next 14 days so hopefully the rest of his family comes out fine as well.  Thoughts and prayers being sent their way.      Please make sure you are taking care of yourself out there and please make sure that you are following the guidelines that are being put out by your local government and the health organizations.  They are doing what is best for us all.  The inconveniences that we are having to go through right now will hopefully get us back to our normal way of life sooner.  In closing, just smarten up and do your part damn it!      Okay, on to some happier news...I had a post just about finished and ready to go when I got news of a different

TB12=Tampa Bay      Yes, finally some Sports Talk!! For those of you that don't enjoy sports, hopefully this is informative and you don't get too bored right out of the gates.  If you do, sorry.      A BIG thank you to the NFL for not postponing the start to their league year.  The start to free agency in the NFL has been very exciting and has allowed sports junkies all of the world to get themselves a little fix.  For my Patriot fans, a former New England coach traded ( gave ) away his 2nd best player in Houston to the Arizona Cardinals and the G.O.A.T. decided he wanted to be like a lot of older people from New England and escape to warmer weather.      At 4:00 pm this afternoon (or whenever the deal is finalized), the Tampa Bay Bucs will take control of the NFC South (some people still have New Orleans as the favorites) and possibly the NFC for the next 3 years.  Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. is taking his talents to The Big Guava...Fire those Cannons!  Fire them

3am Thoughts

You know when you wake up at 3am and can't get back to sleep?  Yup, that point when your mind is racing with all kinds of thoughts and you can't turn it off...that was Sunday morning for me, COVID-19 Day 4.  I know we don't have an official tracker of the virus and it began its conquest well before that, but for me, shit got real Thursday, March 12th, 2020...The day the sports world came to a grinding stop.      Before I go any further, I probably should introduce myself to those who may not know me.  I don't know how personal I want to get because I am not quite sure how far I want to take this blog.  I am hoping to maybe be able to continue with this a couple of times a week for the foreseeable future, so a possible deep dive into the real me is on the horizon.  Right now though, here's a quick little intro...      Hi, I'm Edward (insert elbow bump so that we keep our social distance.)  I was born and raised in the small Northern Maine town of Madawask
